Our flash pasteurization skid is uniquely tailored to the craft beer industry. Competition is at an all-time high and brewers are diversifying their portfolios with hard seltzers, ciders, as well as barrel-aged and sour beers. In addition with so many SKUs in liquor and grocery stores many flagship brands lack the velocity they once enjoyed and, therefore, sit on the shelf for longer. It is more important than ever to make sure that you are putting your best product forward which means shelf and flavor stability. A diversified portfolio with some combination of cider, lagers, sours, ales and hard seltzers might be great for sales but it also puts a strain on production. Using a flash pasteurization skid allows the brewer to produce multiple products upstream without risking cross contamination downstream.
If you are packaging hard seltzers, cider, barrel-aged or sour beers on the same line as your core beers, you are risking cross contamination that can lead to poor shelf stability, out-of-spec product, re-fermentation, destroyed product and costly recalls.
Our Skid
We are offering a fully automated skid specifically designed for the craft brewing industry. The key elements are selectable pasteurization temperature and selectable pasteurization units (PUs). By controlling pasteurization temperature brewers can gently pasteurize products when preserving hop and other volatile aroma compounds are necessary. Selectable PUs allows the brewer to achieve the desired stability for each product and avoid excessive pasteurization. All skids come with a complete electrical diagram, manual, support, and training. Choose either the standard skid or customize the machine to any specifications you desire.
